Born and grown in a region with strong international vocation, the two-year Master's degree in International Economics and Business Management (IEBM) is entirely taught in English and aims to train post-graduate students in the fields of International Economics, International Business Management, and International Law. Quantitative methods for optimizing firm’s management are also provided.
The MSc in IEBM is open to students with an undergraduate background in Economics who are interested in the international dimension of economic activity at both the firm level and the macro level. Students’ active participation in classroom seminars and project works is strongly encouraged. Every year several foreign teachers are invited to give lectures on special parts of the Master’s courses.
Main topics of the Master’s courses are the followings: causes and consequences of international trade; the relationship between trade and development; macroeconomic dynamics of open economies and international financial markets; international marketing and logistic decisions; groups and networks as a mean for firm internationalization; consolidated reporting, performance analysis and cost accounting; international and European law; international business law.
Upon completion of the Master’s degree, students will be able to understand the dynamics of the international economy and trade, to analyze the evolution of foreign markets, and to manage the operations of firms and organizations actively engaged in international markets.
Degree programme annual factsheet (SUA-CdS)
As part of the Quality Assurance system, complete, updated and easily available information on objectives, study plan, resources used and results achieved for each degree programme is made available through the SUA-CdS - Scheda Unica Annuale del Corso di Studio (Degree programme annual factsheet). This includes an Overview and three public sections (Learning Objectives, Student Experience, Learning Outcomes) which together provide a wide range of information about each degree programme. The SUA-CdS also contains an administrative section (Administration and Quality Management) that is for internal use only.
The Degree programme annual factsheet (SUA-CdS), which is currently available only in Italian, is a valuable tool that can be used by the University to design, implement and reorganise, as well as to evaluate, each degree programme. However, the SUA-CdS factsheet is also useful for students, to help them choose the right programme of study.

Vicenza is the area with the highest export per capita in Italy and among the highest in Europe. The MSc in International Economics and Business Management (IEBM) was thus born in a region particularly open to international firms and trade. It aims to train graduates who can take on managerial responsibilities in firms active on foreign markets both on the production and the marketing sides. The IEBM MSc aims to form experts in the analysis of the dynamics of foreign (real and financial) markets and the organization of the international production and sales. The course is entirely taught in English and is developed to deepen the methodological and operational aspects of economic, business, legal and quantitative disciplines needed to understand the dynamics of international markets and the management of firms operating in global markets.
For this purpose, training in the first year includes courses in Economics that provide students with a working knowledge of the causes and effects of international trade and of the operations in currency markets, together with macroeconomic relations and economic policies in open economies. Training in Economics is completed with classes in international trade related to the processes of internationalization of firms and their production cycles. In the area of International Business, the training includes courses on the management of financial flows, on logistics and international marketing, and on the accounting and management of internationalized groups of firms. Training in this area is then completed by a focus on the problems related to accounting and corporate reporting in multinational firms. Training in the legal field is developed with classes that focus on international law and international commercial law. Last but not least, the formal teaching is completed by a mathematical-statistical track that provides the working knowledge of the quantitative techniques useful to optimally manage and plan the business activities. The training is then strengthened with a structured internship in a firm engaged in international markets and with a thesis to be completed under the supervision of a faculty member. The MSc in IEBM is a unique combination of courses, project works and other learning experiences purposely split between International Economics and International Management. By obtaining the MSc, students will master the tools and acquire the skills in the various subjects related to the internationalization processes of economic activities, enabling them to take on managerial roles in firms and organizations active in international markets.

All seen in the institutional framework of international commercial and tax law.
The training is aimed to ensure a suitable employment in the numerous and different professional managerial roles currently required by firms, organizations and institutions which operate in international markets. The depth of the acquired skills will enable graduates to pursue managerial careers within these roles, which are continuously growing due to the globalization processes of modern economies.
