Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide the theoretical basis and the technical culture necessary to understand the objectives and the functioning of the strategic business planning models of the organizations, enlightening the logical linkage with the process of corporate strategy formulation; these general considerations will be applied to the context of small and medium enterprises (SME).

Syllabus

The process of strategic business planning: from entrepreneurial idea to strategic objectives’ formulation.
The documentary and informative base of the planning process: the system of planning dossier.
The business plan: aims and structure.
The formalisation of the business plan: multi-year development and annual articulation.
The system of governance controls in the firm.
The process of control of strategic objectives.
Elaboration and analysis of a SME case study
