Learning outcomes

The course aims to offer the fundamental notions of the Italian Industrial and Intellectual Property Law (Codice di Proprietà industriale) and of the unfair competition rules by examining: a) the various torts of unfair competition provided in art. 2598 of the Italian Civil Code; b) the laws concerning deceptive advertising and unfair commercial practices; c) the Italian, European and International regulation of trademarks and design, know how and trade secrets, patents of invention and of innovative utility models, software; d) the anti-piracy provisions; e) the special rules of civil procedure in litigations about Intellectual Property; d) the TRIPs rules and other international Convention in the area.
