The attention paid by the contemporary world to the role of finance and to its many aspects should be supported by an adequate understanding of its historical development and importance with regard to the process of general economic growth.
The course will focus, in particular, on the analysis of the corporate governance model applied by institutions and organizations over a centuries-old period, starting from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance up to present-day frantic world.
The final exam will be an interview aiming at testing the students’ overall knowledge by means of oral questions related to the required readings.
